Special Father’s Day Chantey Sing

Chantey Sing to Celebrate the Virginia V’s 90th Birthday

June 17, 1-3pm aboard the Virginia V in Lake Union Park, Seattle

Ninety years ago, the Virginia V was launched from the shores of Vashon Island.  Over the years, she has ferried folks around the Puget Sound bringing many fond memories to commuters, campers, and tourists.  Her steam engine and hull are still going strong touring folks during wedding and public charters and as the winter venue for the Northwest Seaport Chantey Sing.

Help celebrate the V5’s special birthday on Father’s Day afternoon at a very special Chantey Sing.  It will get started at 1 pm at Lake Union Park and last until 3 pm.  Wayne Palsson, the host of the monthly Chantey Sings, and his crew will be the song leaders to keep the music diverse, entertaining, and nautical.  Some of Wayne’s crew includes Pierre Rose, Cat Fox, Cassie Owens, and Jean Geiger, but all who attend are in the crew.

Come on board, sing, and bring your Dads and the kids!  Free!
